Sepember 4, 2012 - With the MMC State Race behind us we can now declare our racing season a success. Many thanks go out to all who helped during our state weekend. I was very proud to watch our drivers demonstrate good sportsmanship while finishing near the front in every race. Congratulations to all of our MMC teams! Don't tune out yet as there is still plenty to look forward to before we close the book on 2012. The Hill Crest Cup is this weekend along with our traditional "Fun Day", the banquet plans are coming together and of course our final track clean up. So stick around and I'll see you at the track.

August 18, 2012 - I’m happy to be back at MMC! Before I get started, I want to thank Jim Mailler. Unfortunately, for personal reasons he could not continue with MMC but his work and contributions were certainly appreciated. Thanks Jim!

I’ll remind everyone that our State Tour date is fast approaching and there is work to be done around the track. As we have established in the past, the privilege of preferred parking comes with your volunteer work efforts. Working to spruce up our track for our out of town guests is mandatory for all club members. Those who do not help will not be permitted to park their trailers on the grounds until the gates open at 1:00 Friday the 24th. Work days and work details will be announced and discussed at pit meetings and I’ll thank you in advance for taking pride in our Hillcrest facility.

The season is winding down but there is still a lot of green flag racing to enjoy. I’ll see you at the track.

June 23, 2012 - I would like to thank all our dedicated drivers who braved the rainy Saturday to participate in the Dryden dairy parade it was a great time even with the rain. I would also like to announce that mid state microd club won a prize in the parade . Thanks again to all that participated

May 31, 2012 - Parade season is upon us. If you have never done one you are really missing out. They are a blast and the crowds love us! Cortland Dairy Parade is Tuesday June 5th. June 9th is the Dryden Dairy Parade. Call Connie Neff if you want to participate in the Cortland parade. Call me at 914 -204-1972 if you want to run the Dryden parade.

May 21, 2012 - I would like to thank everybody that helped Saturday with our second chicken BBQ. Kenny R, Bruce C, Steve O, Tim N, and finally the Mailler family. It was another great success. I would also like to thank the Mailler family for opening the concession stand on Sunday to supply the CNY Sports car Club of America with food and drinks . I found it to be a great time and enjoyed meeting other racers. I hope to continue this friendship with them it was a great fund raiser. Thanks again to everybody who made this weekend work so well.

May 3,2012 - Another big THANK YOU goes out to Tim and Dick Neff for putting a new electrical service in the concession stand. As members they went above and beyond by rewiring the service from pole to concession stand with a new panel box and breakers which they got donated to the club. Many thanks!

April 27, 2012 - Shout out to Joe Ettinger for all the help that he and his company provided the club. Among other things, Joe and his men removed the hay old bales and trucked in the new ones. That’s a big job and I’d appreciate it if you were to give Joe a hearty thanks next time you see him.

April 14, 2012 - Just a quick note here thanking everybody for their help with the chicken BBQ at Clark's in Dryden today. It was a great success with 300 birds and 150 candy bars sold. Great job to everybody that helped! The club raised about $1,000. Thanks again!

April 2, 2012 – The days are flying by and work at the track will begin this weekend. We will be making improvements to the PA system and need to dig some ditch to bury the cable so please bring along your picks and shovels.

Please note that we will be taking registrations and teching cars on each work day so we can get everyone accommodated before opening night so please do not wait until the last minute.

Chicken BBQ's will be starting up in a few weeks and as a reminder, we are out in front of Clark's Grocery in Dryden this year. Be sure and bring the kids as we have found them to be the best "Chicken Dancers".

Take a look at the Work Calendar. There are two reoccurring jobs that we need lots of help with and you can plan your volunteer efforts in advance by signing in and claiming a work detail. Tom O’Dell is our VP of building and grounds and he will be looking for help with the weekly mowing chores. It has to happen once a week, typically on Wednesday but we aren't picky as long as it gets done. You can sign up in advance on the Google Work Calendar by going to the work calendar and following the simple directions. Also the concession will need Friday night help and you can sign up for a night in advance using this same method.

As you can see, there is a lot to be done to maintain our club over the summer but if everyone pitches in none of us will need to work very hard. Please think about your team and family members and how they can support your club.

March 17, 2012 - The 2012 race season is upon us and work at the track will begin shortly. The schedule is out so take a look and mark your calendars. You will see we have a few fund raising events already scheduled in April and May. We are doing our Chicken Barbecue's in front of Clark's Grocery in Dryden this year and coordinating the bottle and can drive on those same days. The club has many different expenses such as insurance and track and grounds maintenance and we are always looking for ways to improve our facility. Of course all of these things come at a cost. The money we are able raise keeps our club healthy while keeping the cost to our members affordable. We can use everyone's help with these fundraising events and they are a lot of fun so please plan to participate. Snug up those chin straps as our first green flag drops April 27!
